MABA-Dallas Inaugural Spring Bar Prep Scholarship
MABA-Dallas is committed to uplifting and supporting the next generation of attorneys by providing financial assistance to those law students who have graduated from a Texas law school, registered for the July Bar Exam, and intend uphold the MABA-Dallas mission through serving the Dallas community after passing the Bar Exam.

Graduating from a Texas Law School: Baylor Law School, SMU School of Law, University of Houston Law Center, South Texas College of Law Houston, St. Mary’s School of Law, University of Texas School of Law, Texas A&M School of Law, Texas Tech School of Law, Thurgood Marshall School of Law, UNT Dallas College of Law
2. Registered for the July 2026 Texas Bar Exam
3. Intending to practice in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex post bar exam

Applicants are evaluated based on four main factors:
1. Personal background and financial need;
2. Academic and extracurricular achievement;
3. Demonstrated commitment to serving the Hispanic, Latino, and Undocumented community, shown through academic, extracurricular, or professional record of service; and
4. Future plans to advance the mission of MABA Dallas in your legal practice.

1. Applicant must be a MABA member. MABA membership is free for law students and can be completed online at www.dallasmaba.com. All applicants have until the date the application is due to sign up as a member. We highly encourage all new members to attend at least one MABA meeting or event before the application due date.

4. Personal Statement up to 500 words, double-spaced. We invite you to submit a personal statement on a topic of your choosing that you feel will best convey your strengths in the four main evaluative factors listed above. Please include your short- and long-term professional aspirations following law school.
